Sizing and Template

I know I have asked this before. I draw each panel of my comic on an 11 x 8.5 sheet in Illustrator. However I am wondering what size is the sheet when ya'll save it and use it for the web? Do ya'll have a standard template?

My template starts at 11" w x 6.273" h, 150 DPI. When the strip is done, I save one copy at that size and one at exactly 50%, but with the same DPI. This isn't suggested, as 150 DPI isn't the best for the web, but I've been too busy (and lazy) to make the adjustments to my actions so far.

When I was scanning images in, I would scan full 8.5"x11" pages, with each character taking up about a full page. I don't really remember how much I reduced it after that, but I think it was 50%.

OK, now what about when putting together the panels?

My template includes all the panels... I'll upload it when I get home.

I do it a little differently. I decided on what size I wanted my strips to be (around 700 wide and however tall I wanted it to be to look good) and then I doubled that to make the base file with 300 dpi.
I plan on making a new template very soon that will be about 3 times the final size and about 200 dpi.
The trick is to build templates and play around with it until you feel happy.

It's a good idea to set up a template, save it, (save a copy so that if you save an entire comic into it like I frequently do you can re-save it and replace it with the copy you made...), and use it consistently.

Consistency=good. Me thinks.

Since I use Corel it saves it pretty big. I don't really pay attention to how big. I then will resize it when I put it on my site. I kinda do things a little backwards I guess but it seems to work.
